Things I Have Printed At Work
Welcome to 2017: iPhones can read your face and nobody owns a printer anymore. When I was taking my first steps into the adult world of full-time office work, I knew I would rely on my employer for a myriad of non-work-related things like healthcare and prestige, but I never realized I would have to add "free printer" to that list.
Here is a list of perfectly necessary and appropriate things I have printed out on my office printer.
My new apartment lease.
This picture of young Aaron Carter.
25 copies of a 10-page story for my creative writing class.
My resume for an interview with another company.
My cover letter for an interview with another company.
That viral "36 Questions That Make A Stranger Fall In Love With You" article from the New York Times because I only have 2 articles left to read this month and I know I will revisit this in moments of insecurity.
A 15-page New Yorker article about the economic recession in Venezuela
A letter to a congressman I did not deem worthy of my laborious handwriting.
